Associate Spotlight: Q&A with Sean Mangan

Sean Mangan is an Associate at Kiser Group, working alongside Senior Director Danny Logarakis to support multifamily investment sales on Chicago’s North Side.

Q: What attracted you to Kiser Group and to multifamily investment sales?
Sean: I was drawn to Kiser Group’s reputation for a collaborative culture and deep expertise in the Chicago multifamily market. The opportunity to work directly with experienced brokers and contribute meaningfully to client outcomes was something I couldn’t pass up.

Q: What does a typical day look like for you?
Sean: My day often starts with analyzing market comps and running valuation models for properties we’re positioning for sale. I spend time refining financial models and preparing marketing materials, then shift to client and broker calls to make sure everyone stays aligned as deals progress. Site tours and property inspections are also a big part of building on‑the‑ground context.

Q: What skills or attributes do you feel have been key to your success so far?
Sean: Attention to detail is crucial — whether it’s financial modeling or assessing market trends. Being analytical and curious helps me ask better questions and provide insights that support sound decision‑making. But just as important is communication: keeping our team and clients informed builds trust and keeps transactions moving fluidly.

Q: What’s one of your favorite moments since joining Kiser Group?
Sean: One of my favorite experiences was collaborating on a deal where we faced shifting assumptions during due diligence. It was rewarding to work with the team to pivot strategies, realign stakeholders, and ultimately see the transaction close successfully. It showed the power of adaptability and teamwork.

Q: How do you stay current on the markets and bring that value to clients?
Sean: I stay engaged with daily market reports, rent and cap‑rate trends, and broader economic indicators that influence multifamily fundamentals. Translating that data into actionable insights — like how shifts in submarket demand might change investor interest — helps our clients make informed decisions confidently.

Q: Outside of work, how do you unwind and stay balanced?
Sean: Outside the office, I enjoy golfing, watching sports, traveling, and spending quality time with friends. It’s a great way to recharge and stay grounded.
