ESTELLA KISER

Estella Kiser is a Principal of Kiser Group as well as its Managing Broker and General Counsel. She specializes in the disposition of Chicago apartment properties, ranging from vintage courtyard buildings to four-plus-one properties and mid-rises. Estella services a wide range of clients including local and regional private owners and developers as well as national entities.

Estella was recently selected by Chicago Real Estate Magazine as one of the
"Top 40 Under 40" in Chicago real estate. She has also been recognized by the Chicago Association of Realtors as the top broker for multi-family investment properties in Chicago and as one of Chicago's "Successful Women in Commercial Real Estate." In 2008, Estella was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. During her tenure as an investment real estate broker at a national real estate brokerage company, Estella's team of Kiser Group was the firm's leading Chicago city broker as well as one of the company's top brokers nationwide.

Prior to her career in investment real estate brokerage, Estella practiced law for seven years as a litigation attorney for a large, prominent Chicago law firm where she specialized in commercial litigation and complex business lawsuits. Estella earned her B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and her J.D. degree with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was Managing Editor of the North Carolina Law Review.

Estella serves as a Director of the Rogers Park Builders Group and is the former Chair of Commercial Forum, the commercial division of the Chicago Association of Realtors. She is also a member of the Chicagoland Apartment Association, the Edgewater Uptown Builders Group and DevCorp North. Estella is one of the founders and the current President of the Neighborhood Building Owner’s Alliance (NBOA).

LEE KISER

Lee Kiser is a Principal of Kiser Group. He specializes in the sale of Chicago apartment properties, ranging from vintage courtyard and walk-up buildings to high-rises and large suburban apartment complexes. Lee services a wide range of clients including local and regional private investors and developers as well as institutions.

Lee began his investment real estate career at a national real estate brokerage company, where he quickly became the firm's top Chicago producer and leader in brokerage standards. Lee Kiser's team, Kiser Group, was the firm's leading Chicago city broker as well as one of the company's top brokers nationally.

Lee was selected by Chicago Real Estate Magazine as one of the "Top 40 Under 40" in Chicago real estate, and was also recognized by the Chicago Association of Realtors as the top broker for multi-family investment properties in Chicago. Lee has served as President of the Lincoln Park Builders of Chicago and the Edgewater Uptown Builders Association (EUBA).

Prior to his career in Chicago commercial real estate brokerage, Lee worked in his family's North Carolina real estate business as a carpenter, a construction supervisor and then in real estate sales. He earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

BILL BAUMANN

Bill Baumann is a Senior Managing Director with Kiser Group. He specializes in the disposition of commercial real estate assets, specifically multi-family, land and retail properties. Bill services a wide range of clients including local and regional owners and developers as well as institutional investors. Bill's expertise is in valuing properties and development opportunities for clients and finding the right buyer for an asset.

Between 2007 and 2008, Bill represented clients in commercial transactions totaling over $200 million dollars. In 2008, Bill was recognized by the Chicago Association of Realtors as the top broker of multi-family investment properties in Chicago and was selected by CoStar as one of the Top Sales Brokers in Chicago. Bill is a member of the Chicagoland Apartment Association (CAA) and The Kellogg Real Estate Alumni Club (KREAC). Bill is also a supporter of The Sue Duncan Children’s Center, a south side, after-school center that works with inner-city kids and served as a Chair of the Steppenwolf Theater Auxiliary Board.

Before joining Kiser Group, Bill was the Vice President of Business Development for a Chicago-based, real estate developer. Prior to his career in commercial real estate, Bill worked in the financial services and securities industry with JPMorgan Chase and UBS Paine Webber.

Bill earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

JOE LAMANTIA

Joe LaMantia is a Senior Managing Director with Kiser Group. Joe specializes in providing investment advisory and brokerage services to institutional and private capital multi-family investors throughout the Midwest. Joe's particular area of expertise is in mid-market suburban assets throughout greater Chicagoland. Joe also has extensive affordable housing experience including disposition of Section 8, Section 236 and Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties.

Prior to joining Kiser Group, Joe served as the Vice President of Acquisitions and Dispositions for Apartment Investment and Management Company (AIMCO) with responsibility for an eight state Midwestern region. During his tenure with AIMCO Joe provided acquisition sourcing, led an interdepartmental effort to identify and dispose of strategic assets as well as providing asset management oversight for approximately 300 conventional and affordable assets.

Prior to joining AIMCO, Joe spent nearly ten years with CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), five of which as a multi-housing investment specialist and co-founder of the Private Client Group/Multi-Housing practice in the Chicago market. During his time with the Private Client Group, Joe completed 20 transactions totaling more than 2,800 units and $150,000,000 in total consideration.

Joe has a B.A. in Geography from the University of Iowa and an M.A. in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Joe is a member of the Chicago Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association.

JOHN OLAR

John Olar is a Senior Managing Director with Kiser Group. He specializes in the evaluation and sale of vintage courtyard, walk-up, four-plus-one and high rise apartment properties located throughout Chicago. With an impressive track record and extensive knowledge of Chicago's South Side, John is an invaluable resource to local, regional and national private investors, institutions, and fiduciaries in their acquisition and disposition of Chicago apartment buildings.

Prior to joining Kiser Group, John spent several years with a national, real estate brokerage company as Director of their National Multi-Housing Group and as a Senior Investment Associate. During his tenure, John was instrumental in helping clients in the acquisition and disposition of over 68 apartment buildings consisting of 2,512 units, with a value in excess of $177 million. He also closed nine retail and single tenant transactions for clients in 1031 exchanges, totaling $23 million. John consistently was ranked as the top Investment Real Estate Agent to clients on the South Side of Chicago and has been the recipient of multiple achievement awards given to top producers.

John has a B.S.B.A. in International Business and a B.S.B.A. in Marketing Management from The University of Akron and University of Haifa, Israel. Outside of brokerage, John enjoys spending time with his family, collecting art and traveling.

MICHAEL CAVANAUGH

Michael Cavanaugh is a Senior Managing Director with Kiser Group.  He specializes in the evaluation and sale of Chicago, multi-family properties ranging from vintage walk-up and courtyard buildings to four-plus-one and mid-rise apartment properties.  With extensive experience and insight in evaluating Chicago apartment buildings and negotiating multi-family transactions, Mike has become an invaluable resource to building owners as well as local and regional investors interested in the disposition and acquisition of Chicago apartment properties. 

Prior to joining Kiser Group, Mike, beginning in 1993, created a niche by exclusively focusing on brokering apartment transactions on the north and north-west sides of Chicago. His specialty provides clients with a unique resource in recognizing and creating value in an apartment asset. As a broker, Mike has successfully closed over 80 apartment transactions.  Having owned and operated apartment buildings himself, Mike enjoys lending his insight to assist clients in adding value to their deals, leading to successful transactions. Mike also has experience in renovating apartment properties and has been honored with the Historic Renovation of the Year award from the City of Valparaiso Indiana.

Mike holds a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois.  Outside of Brokerage Mike is involved in the Queen of All Saints Men’s Group and Mentoring Group.  His favorite activity is spending time with his family.  Mike lives in Chicago’s Sauganash neighborhood.

BRAD FELDMAN

Brad Feldman is a Managing Director with Kiser Group. He specializes in the disposition of mid-market, Chicago multi-family properties. Brad works with apartment owners, converters, builders and real estate investors, assisting them in meeting their investment real estate goals.

Prior to joining Kiser Group, Brad worked as both a sales associate and leasing manager for a prominent, Chicago-based, residential real estate firm that focuses on large condominium conversion projects in Lincoln Park.  Brad earned his Bachelors of Business Administration degree, majoring in Marketing, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He is a member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association as well as the Young Real Estate Professionals of Chicago (YREP).

Brad played for the Wisconsin Club Baseball team and remains an active baseball player. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Young Professionals Leadership Committee. Brad grew up on the North Shore in Wilmette and currently resides in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood.

EVAN BRICKER

Evan Bricker is a Senior Associate with Kiser Group. He focuses on the valuation and disposition of mid-market, Chicago apartment properties.  Evan works with apartment owners, converters, builders and real estate investors, assisting them in meeting their investment real estate goals. 

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Evan currently lives in Lincoln Park. He received his BA in Finance - Real Estate from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Evan is a member of the Young Real Estate Professionals of Chicago (YREP), the Indiana Alumni Association and a volunteer with Chicago Cares.

Evan enjoys running marathons, triathlons and playing beach volleyball.

KARI HORNFELDT

Kari Hornfeldt is the Office Manager for Kiser Group. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office and is Kiser Group's communication hub. Kari also assists with marketing, research and tracking, and broker support.

Before joining Kiser Group, Kari worked as a Production Coordinator for a large, prestigious, full-service real estate firm headquartered in Chicago and most recently was Marketing Coordinator for the retail brokerage division at a national commercial real estate firm also based in Chicago. Kari is a graduate of Marquette University where she received her BA in Advertising with a minor in Marketing. At Marquette University, Kari was a member of the Varsity Crew Team.

Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Kari has lived in Chicago for the past ten years and currently resides in Lincoln Square.
