NBOA (Neighborhood Building Owners Alliance) members recently met with the Sheriff’s Office to discuss service of process issues.  We are working together to find better ways to make service more successful and efficient.  The Sheriff’s Office has made shift changes so that officers are serving papers seven days a week. The Sheriff has also made command staff changes and is working on implementing a new computerized system which will cut down the paperwork and thus streamline the process.  TIP: Make sure on your summons form you include the phone number of your janitor or the person at your building who can let the officers in to serve the papers.
